List of Employers Offering Volunteer Incentive Programs

Did you know that your school might be able to raise $3,000 or more for next to no additional effort? Many large employers are now offering “Volunteer Incentive Programs” where they match parent volunteer’s time contribution with an hourly donation. Typically these range from $10 to $17 an hour.

What this means is that if your school has 20 parents working for qualified employers who do 50 hours a year volunteer service hours your school could generate an extra $10,000 a year in donations. All that parents need to do is provide a report to the employer for each parent showing their volunteer hours. Compared to the volunteer hours served parents could be generating thousands in additional donations in just a few minutes.

Parent Booker makes this type of reporting easy:

  1. Each parent can view and print off a report of all the hours they’ve served for that year
  2.  Volunteer events can be set up so that whenever a parent serves that event
    - the hours they served are automatically added to their service record and report
-the hours that they serve are only added to their service record when approved (e.g. only when they actually showed up to serve as a classroom helper)
  3. Parents can enter the hours that they serve into a form on Parent Booker

  1. If you’re a nonprofit, there are a few companies out there that make it easy for volunteers and donors to determine if they work for a company with employee matching gift and volunteer grant program. One is http://www.doublethedonation.com. It looks like you setup a site for your nonprofit where your volunteers can search for their employer and then are provided with the forms they need.
